Edgar Aetheling the Elder

Edgar Aetheling the Elder

Edgar Aetheling the Elder (Old English "Eadgar Æþeling") was one of the eight sons of the early English king Ethelred the Unready. It is thought he died in childhood. He should not be confused with the better known Edgar Ætheling (c.1051-c.1126) who was king of England for eight weeks in 1066 following the Battle of Hastings.
