Gawand baug

Gawand Baug is a residential colony in Thane city of Maharastra state India. It is located on the northeast side of Upvan Lake. Gawand Baug has "yeoor" hills on its western side. Previously it was a mango orchard owned by the Gawand family. Now a residential complex consisting of many apartments have come up in this place. The residential area has attracted people from other places for its view of yeoor hills ,especially during rainy season when hills are covered by lush green vegetation and mist.Upvan lake which is nearby offers path for a nice morning or evening walk.The Pokhran Road 1 & 2 connects Gawand Baug with other parts of Thane city.
