* The Shot was a penalty shot goal by New York Islanders center Shawn Bates in Game 4 against Curtis Joseph of the Toronto Maple Leafs on April 8th, 2001. It is one of the most famous goals in New York Islanders history.
* The shot made by Christian Laettner on March 28, 1992 as time expired, against Kentucky in the NCAA tournament.
