Fictional character biography

Magdalene was a member of the Avengers in an alternate timeline, a world which was destroyed by an alternate version of Sersi. As a result, she joined the Gatherers, a group formed by Proctor, an alternate version of Dane Whitman, known in the Mainstream Marvel Universe as the Black Knight. The purpose of the Gatherers was to destroy every universe's version of Sersi, so that she could no longer be a threat.

When Proctor, in his single-mindedness, attempted to destroy Sersi and the Avengers of Earth-616 at the cost of the Gatherers' lives, Magdalene reluctantly joined forces with the Avengers, along with her lover, the Swordsman.

Magdelene has superhuman strength and stamina, and is armed with a power-lance which fires energy bolts and can open space warps.

Civil War/The Initiative

Magdalene has been identified as one of the 142 registered superheroes who appear on the cover of the comic book Avengers: The Initiative #1.[1]
