Jennie Fields

Jennie Fields

Jennie Fields is an American author born in Chicago, and raised in Highland Park, Illinois. Her first novel, Lily Beach, was published in 1993 by Maxwell Macmillan International, and is available in paperback by Grand Central Publishing.

Her second novel, Crossing Brooklyn Ferry, was published in 1997 by William Morrow & Company. Her third novel, The Middle Ages, was published in 2002 by William Morrow & Company. Both are available in paperback by Harper Perennials.

Fields writes about women's lives, and their struggles to be happy in a changing world. Her books are also published in Germany, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand.

Fields attended the University of Iowa, where she earned her master's degree from the Iowa Writer's Workshop. Fields currently splits her time between Brooklyn, New York and Nashville, Tennessee.
