Kyle Young

Kyle Young was born on March 5, 1984 in Fallbrook, California.

Pro career

Young tried out with the Washington Redskins, but went unsigned. A tryout with the Buffalo Bills also ended without a signing. Young has recently lost weight and hopes to break into the Arena Football League. Recently he has signed with the Spokane Shock, an arena 2 team in Washington, and he has begun to see playing time as tight end and goalline fullback.

College career

Young red shirted in 2002. As a redshirt freshman in 2003, he started all 14 games, was an Honorable Mention All-WAC selection, and a Freshman All-America honoree by the Football Writers Association of America. In 2004, Young started all 12 games, was selected second-team All-WAC after another stellar season, and made the Dave Rimington Trophy watch list. As of the week of November 6, 2006, Young has been suspended by the Bulldogs for an academic requirement violation. Young did not play another snap for Fresno State, and went undrafted in the 2007 NFL draft.

High School Career

Young attended Fallbrook Union High School, where he was a first-team all-area by the "San Diego Union-Tribune". He played multiple positions on the offensive line for Randy Blankenship and Dennis Houlihan.
