notes = One of the most distant known dSph
companions of the Milky Way
names = CVn dSphThe Canes Venatici Dwarf ("CVn dSph") is one of the most distant
satellite galaxy of theMilky Way as of2006 together with Leo I and Leo II. It is adwarf spheroidal galaxy in theCanes Venatici constellation, lying about 720,000light-years away. The galaxy is approximately 6.5 kly (2 kpc) across along its major axis and very faint. It consists of a primarily old metal-poor stellar population.External links
