Petaloudes ( _el. Πεταλούδες) is a municipality on the island of
Rhodes , in theDodecanese ,Greece . Population 12,133 (2001). Includes the villages ofKremasti , Paradisi,Theologos (Tholos),Damatria , Maritsa, andPastida . The seat of the municipality is in Kremasti. The land area is 89.150 km².External links

The trees in Petaloudes Valley give off a scent that attracts the moths and creates a unique biotope. Due to the increased amount of visitors, the Panaxia are facing population issues as they have no stomach and when disturbed tend to fly frequently and thus deplete their energy.
