- Buner Valley
The Buner Valley lies north east of the
Peshawar valley border of theNorth-West Frontier Province inPakistan . It is a mountain valley, dotted with villages and divided into seven sub-divisions. The Mora Hills and theIlam range divide it from Swat, the Sinawar range from Yusafzai, the Guru mountains from the Chamla valley, and the Duma range from the Puran Valley.Tribes
It is inhabited by the
Salarzai and AshazaiGadazai divisions of the Pashtun tribe, who are named after their region i.e. Bunerwals and also Ashizii.They all are sub-tribes of theYousafzai 's (Pukhtoon Tribe which are migrated from Afghanistan to Pakistan).Other minority tribes includes those of the Gujars, Punjabis, and Hazaras.Minerals
Buner is very rich in marble and has more than 600 Marble factories. Much of the marble is exported to Italy, which polishes and refines them, often re-exporting Buner's Pakistan origin marble as "Made in Italy", a practice which is believed to be continuing since the 1960s.

Buner is very rich in forestry and produces trees that are used in furniture making.
Famous places
Peer Baba
Peer Baba is the tomb of the famous religious saint Syed Ali Tarmeezi, commonly known as Peer Baba, who came to the area in the early 1550s. This tomb is situated on the east of Lelum mountains and in the town Pacha Kalay.
People from different areas of Pakistan visit this place, especially during URS in spring season.
Gukand
Gukand is famous for its ever green beautiful mountains and springs of water.some of tem are Domma, Elam and others.There too much greenry in those mountains. These are tiypical tourists spots but due to worse conditions of roads, these are not so famous.
Chagharzi
Chagarzi is another small valley in the north east of Buner. It is a channel way through District Shangla to Karakuram Highway. There is moderate season, winter is cold due to heavy snow fall. This area is facing problems of road system, otherwise it has too much great seasons. Some villages are Budal, Batra, Tangora, Gulbandi, Topi, Inzarmira, Shamnal etc. Chagharzi lies in Duma range.The most common place in this valley is Shahidi sar where is a market and a big chowk name bahadar khan chowk. Near village name are chamo teraj bazarkoot awanay kotwal etc. Main road from shahedi sar are going on the side of beautiful village of Chamo. Chamo is small but graceful. the land maps of Chamo is all over are green tall and big trees of different kinds and a lake who are coming from teraj who crossing chamo.
Bampokha
Bampokha is very famous for its various kinds of precious marbles.Marble Industry can generate lot of revenue if the Govt: should take certain steps:
# Provision of latest machinery so that to standardize the extraction process of marble(raw material).Then our Industrialists would be able to export the marble products to the international market.
# To import the refining and polishing machinery currently monopolized by a few industrialized nations and setting them up in country so that the materials can be polished on site.
# Marble city should be established with stable electricity so resolve the current power failure problems.
# Approach the Italian government and World Trade Organization to stop the mislabelling of Pakistani origin marble as being labelled from "other countries" like Italy.
# The establishment of polytechnical centres to help local people in better managing the affairs of the local Marble industry and training them to operate the more advanced machinery needed to refine the marble.
