"Before You Walk out of My Life" is a song by American R&B singer Monica, written and composed by Andrea Martin, Carsten Schack, and Kenneth Karlin for her debut studio album, "Miss Thang" (1995). It was produced by duo Soulshock & Karlin, and released as the album's second single in fall 1995 (see 1995 in music). In the United States, the song was released on a double A-side single with "Like This and Like That." "Before You Walk out of My Life" became Monica's second number-one hit on the "Billboard" Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and reached number 7 on the "Billboard" Hot 100 and number 22 on the UK singles chart.

"Before You Walk Out of My Life/Like This and Like That" was ranked #38 on "Top Hot 100 Hits of 1996".
