Grigory Vorozheikin

Marshal of the Air Force Grigory Alexeyevich Vorozheikin (1895-1974, _ru. Ворожейкин, Григорий Алексеевич) was a Soviet Air Force general.

During the Great Patriotic War (1941 - 1945) he was commander of the Air Force of the Central Front, chief of staff of the Red Army's Air Force, commander of an air strike group, and first deputy commander of the Red Army's Air Force. On instructions from the Supreme Command Headquarters, he co-ordinated the Velikye Luki operation. He ran in the operations of the Leningrad front and Volkhov fronts to lift the Siege of Leningrad, and took part in leading the aviation's actions in the Battle of Kursk. In 1944 - 1945 he served as representative of the Supreme Command Headquarters at the 3th Ukrainian fronts and 4th Ukrainian fronts.

He was awarded many orders and medals.
