Association of Young Americans

The Association of Young Americans (AYA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its stated mission is to represent and serve the interests of Young America by providing participants pertinent information and meaningful discourse, while engaging in focused advocacy on their behalf.

AYA provides non-partisan educational information through its website, along with public forums, to foster debate among young Americans and through which they can consider public policy issues. The forums serve as a virtual marketplace of ideas. The website also contains information on various public policy issues.

AYA has released independent white papers on issues such as:

* Addicted to Oil
* Privacy
* Social Security
* Higher Education

AYA has initiated a Voting '08 outreach to candidates for President from both the Republican and Democratic parties. There is also a forum and individual questionairee asking forward looking, solution-focused questions on critical policy issues to all the declared presidential candidates.

The group has created the National Issues Survey to identify what national policy issues are most important to young Americans which will eventually be presented to the Presidential Candidates.
