Uziah "Sticky" Thompson (b. August 1, 1936) is a
Jamaican percussionist , vocalist anddeejay . He has collaborated with countlessreggae artists includingLee Perry ,Bob Marley andBurning Spear . As a percussionist, Sticky has recorded on more Jamaican recording sessions and on more songs than almost anybody in the history of the Jamaican recording industry. Sticky was involved at the beginning of the Jamaican recording industry. As such he became one of the earliest men to record in the new deejay style, using his mouth to make clicks and other percussive sounds.
