Paul O. Bixler (January 251907 - November 1985) was an American football coach who was head coach at Ohio State University for one year (1946) after serving as an assistant to Carroll Widdoes. He was then head coach at Colgate University (1947-51). He later served as director of player personnel for the Cleveland Browns.

He was the 24th head football coach for the Colgate University Raiders located in the Village of Hamilton in Madison County, New York and he held that position for five seasons, from 1947 until 1951. His overall coaching record at Colgate was 14 wins, 27 losses, and 2 ties. This ranks himtenth at Colgate in terms of total wins and 26th at Colgate in terms of winning percentage. Bixler was a graduate of Mount Union College where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He started as an assistant coach at the University of Akron where he also served as head basketball coach.
