He was then head coach atColgate University (1947-51). He later served as director of player personnel for theCleveland Browns .He was the 24th head football coach for the Colgate University Raiders located in the Village of Hamilton in
Madison County, New York and he held that position for five seasons, from 1947 until 1951. His overall coaching record at Colgate was 14 wins, 27 losses, and 2 ties.
