Vsevolozhsk ( _ru. Все́воложск) is a town in
Leningrad Oblast ,Russia , located onKarelian Isthmus 24 km east of St. Petersburg, and the administrative center ofVsevolozhsky District of Leningrad Oblast. Population: 45,310 (2002 Census).The town's name came from manufacturer Vsevolozhsky. During the
World War II , in 1941–1944, the vital road connecting the encircled Leningrad with the rest of Soviet Union, theRoad of Life , passed through the town.History
In 1892 through country house of Berngard, the place there is now Vsevolozhsk is situated, had passed first in Russia narrow-gauge line intended for transportation of peats for Petersburg's heating (Irinovskaya rail road). Now the name of Berngard is borne by one of the railroad stations in the town -- Berngardovka.
Vsevolozhsk was the first settlement in Russia there street gas lamps were set.
Vsevolozhsk got status of a town in 1963. There was an intention to make a resort in the town in the Soviet times. For what a ski jump was built (now unfunctioned), but later this idea was abandoned.
Now it is a growing suburb of
Saint Petersburg with many new houses building.Economy

Passenger trains pass through Vsevolozhsk. There are three platforms: Berngardovka, Vsevolozhskaya, Melnichniy Ruchey. Trains arrived at
