History

Premiere Rides was founded in the 1990s by Peter R. Schnabel, former president of ride maker Intamin. In 2006, an accident on Batman and Robin the Chiller, Premier's dueling LIM shuttle coaster, was caused by modifications that Premier made to their LIM coaster trains. Shortly after, all of Premier's LIM coasters were shut down and the trains for each LIM coaster was recalled for modifications. The exceptions to the recall were the three Backlot Stunt Coasters, and both Revenge of the Mummy coasters, since their trains had a different design then the other LIM coasters. Speed the Ride was the only LIM shuttle coaster that wasn't recalled since it operates year-round and didn't receive the modifications.

Products

The company produces a variety of amusement rides including various style of roller coaster, flume rides, drop towers, go-karts and observation towers.
