Ata Demirer

Ata Demirer (born July 6, 1972 in Bursa, Turkey) is a Turkish actor and stand-up comedian. He played the role of Volkan in "Avrupa Yakası", a TV series on ATV Turkey. He is also one of the top ten stand up comedians in Turkey.

Career

In April 2007, Ata Demirer started doing a tour of his new stand-up show "Ata Demirer Show". He performed various successive shows in Holland, Germany and France. His new show was very well received and his tour was very successful.

Ata Demirer is famous for his celebrity impressions. The impressions of Bülent Ersoy, Kadir İnanır and Emrah are especially liked by his fans, getting roaring applause and laughs by the mere mention of these names in his stand-up shows.

In his stand-up shows Ata regularly jokes about his weight, in one show saying "In my childhood I was never able to play hide and seek. You could always see some part of me wherever I hid. At one point the other kids used me to hide behind."
