Javier Ernez

Javier Ernez is a Mexican actor.

Background

A graduate of the Manolo Fábregas and Sylvia Debrez schools, Ernez has also participated in various acting workshops, including ones led by Sergio Giménez on Televisa San Angel and José Luis Ibáñez on UNAM.

Theater work

Ernez played the central character in the comedic musical, "La verdad no peca" ("The truth doesn't sin") and earned a nomination for best new actor in 1986. This appearance was followed by several years of producing and directing, including "Teatro en Atril" presented by Mexico City's Institude of Culture. There, he worked on various shows such as "Celos con celos se curan" ("Jealousy is cured by jealousy") and "El burlador de Sevilla" ("The Barber of Seville") by Gioacchino Rossini, "El hombre, la bestia, y la virtud" ("The Man, the Beast, and Virtue") by Luigi Pirandello, and "Los héroes del día siguiente" ("'The Heroes of the Second Day") by Ireneo Paz. He is currently working on the show "Ciego amor" ("Smoke love") with Irma Lozano.

Ernez participated in the musical comedy "Sueño de una noche de verano" (Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream") with Arianna and Grecia La Hevia.

Television and film work

He has participated in twelve telenovelas, the most recent being "Aventuras en el tiempo" ("Adventures in Time"), "'Amar otra vez" ("To Love You Again"), and "Mujer de madera" ("Woman of Wood").

In film, Ernez participated in the María Sorté production "En las manos de dios" ("In the Hands of God") directed by Sergio Bejar.
