Thuam Hang

Pu Thuam Hang was the first Christian convert among the Zomi [Chin] in Chin State, Burma. He was the Chief of Khuasak. R.E Carlson and Mrs. Laura Carlson Swedish-American baptist missionaries came to Haka, Chin State, Burma, in 1899. This couple sent a Kayin Pastor named Saya Sein Htwe to Khuasak, to preach about Christianity, after overhearing about the Sizangpeople, who could both speak and understand Burmese language. Despite, Pu Thuam Hang's interest to become Christian in 1903, due to lack of ordained pastor, Dr. East could Baptist Pu Thuam Hang and Mrs. Thuam Hang on may 15, 1905 along with Pu Pau Suan.
