New York since October 2002. Prior to that, Levinson was a CBS Newspath correspondent based in Chicago (2001-02) and Detroit (1997-2001).Levinson has covered the wars in
Iraq andAfghanistan and has also reported fromKuwait andPakistan . He has been inIsrael , theWest Bank andGaza several times to cover the uprising and the Israeli elections.Levinson has covered many major stories including

He served as morning anchor and reporter for WDBJ-TV Roanoke, Va., and was a reporter for WPTV-TV West Palm Beach.
Levinson was born in Lumberton, North Carolina and was raised in Fairmont, N.C. He graduated from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of arts degree in peace, war and defense. He lives in New York City.
