It was released in the summer of 1993 and to date is Tasmin’s highest debuting single, entering the charts at #31. Despite its high debut, the single managed just to climb to #30 before quickly vanishing off the face of the chart. Like "Lords Of The New Church", the single probably suffered as it was the fourth release from a successful album.
* The name Arienne is actually non-existent. Actually, Tasmin had a melody in her head and the name Arienne just seemed to fit.
* Tasmin says the lyrics of “Arienne” are about “finding your way in the world and having to cope with growing up in a world that's not so friendly.”
* Five instruments were used in the recording of "Lords Of The New Church", John Hughes,
Elliott Randall andRobbie McIntosh provided the guitars in the song whereasJohn Beck andPaul Wickens played keyboards. The drummer on the track wasCharlie Morgan whilstPeter Kaye played fairlight.Paul Wickens also played accordion on the trackTrack listings
