River Nidd in Upper Nidderdale,North Yorkshire ,England , the other beingScar House Reservoir . It is located at OS map reference gbmappingsmall|SE040759. Between them they attract around 150,000 visitors a year.Nidderdale is recognised as an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty surrounded by wild, rugged and remote land with spectacular views.
Little and Great Whernside are the two summits on the ridge to the north and to the west of Angram Reservoir, they reach heights of 605 and 704 metres above sea level.
Angram and Scar House were built to supply water to the
Bradford area ofWest Yorkshire . Water from here is transferred toChellow Heights via theNidd Aqueduct , which is a major engineering achievement as it doesn't involve any pumping.Facilities
