No Authority

No Authority was a four part American boy band of the late 1990s and early 2000s from California. The group are most notable for the hit songs "Don't Stop", "Can I Get Your Number (A Girl Like You)" and "Keep On". The original line-up consisted of Josh Keaton (b. February 8 1979), Eric Stretch (b. June 22 1980), Dan Hartzman (b. December 2 1980) and Danny Zavatsky (b. June 1, 1982).

No Authority had been performing in local towns and cities before their manager, Richard Walters, sent their demo tape to Jerry Greenberg and Jono Kohan at MJJ Records, the label of Michael Jackson. They sent the demo to Jackson who signed them.

Their first single, "Don't Stop", was released in January 1997 followed by their first album, "Keep On". After both flopped, Josh Keaton left to be replaced by Tommy McCarthy (b. February 23, 1980) and they moved labels from Sony Music to Madonna's label Maverick Records.

During their good years, No Authority were contestants on Nickelodeon's now canceled show "Double Dare 2000." They lost to N-Toon. Their song "What I Wanna Do" also received heavy airplay on Radio Disney in late-1999 and 2000.

Their eponymous second debut was released in July 2000. No Authority eventually broke op in 2001.
