Ghaleb Awwali

Ghaleb Awwali was a senior Hezbollah official who was assassinated in a car bombing in Beirut, Lebanon on July 19, 2004. Hezbollah blamed Israel for the attack. However, credit was claimed by a previously unheard of Sunni group called Jund Ash Sham. Ghaleb Awwali has been called a martyr of Lebanon and a martyr of Palestine.
