Earl of Downe

Earl of Downe was a title in the Peerage of Ireland that was created on 16 October 1628 for Sir William Pope, Bt, along with the title Baron Pope. He had been created a baronet, of Wilcote, Oxfordshire, on 29 June 1611. The titles and the baronetcy became extinct on the death of the 4th Earl on 18 May 1668.
