- IEEE P1900
IEEE P1900 is a new Standard Series within
IEEE focusing on Next Generation Radio and spectrum management.hort description
The IEEE P1900 Standards Group was established in the first quarter 2005 jointly by the IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society. The objective is to develop supporting standards dealing with new technologies and techniques being developed for next generation radio and advanced spectrum management.
Note: Now this sponsor group is called as SCC41 - The Standards Coordination Committee 41. The individual working groups are still called as IEEEP1900.x.
There are following working groups within IEEE P1900.
* IEEE P1900.1: Standard Terms, Definitions and Concepts for Spectrum Management, Policy Defined Radio, Adaptive Radio and Software Defined Radio.
* IEEE P1900.2: Recommended Practice for Interference and Coexistence Analysis.
* IEEE P1900.3: Recommended Practice for Conformance Evaluation of Software Defined Radio (SDR) Software Modules.
* IEEE P1900.a: Dependability and Evaluation of Regulatory Compliance for Radio Systems with Dynamic Spectrum Access. This is at present a study group. It has submitted a PAR, however moves are on to merge this with the P1900.3
* IEEE P1900.4: Architectural Building Blocks Enabling Network-Device Distributed Decision Making for Optimized Radio Resource Usage in Heterogeneous Wireless Access Networksee also
