Copa Libertadores 2008 he and LDU reached the finals. Once again, after 10 years, Cevallos was a key player. In the Quarter-finals LDU eliminatedSan Lorenzo de Almagro . After a tie 1 - 1 both inBuenos Aires and Quito; in the penalty shootout Cevallos stoppedAureliano Torres penalty.In the Finals LDU played against
Fluminense . In Quito LDU won 4 - 2 but in Rio, Fluminense won 3 - 1. Tied 5 - 5 even after the additional periods the Copa Libertadores 2008 was defined a penalty shootout. And, again, Cevallos was a key player stoppingDarío Conca ,Thiago Neves and Washington penalties. LDU was crowned as Southamerican Champion in theMaracana Stadium.Titles
