Richard Brown (journalist)

Richard Brown is a former emmy-award winning television journalist. He began his career as a school teacher before reporting and anchoring newscasts in Calgary and Toronto. He went on to be one of the first anchors of CNN Headline News, before working at WCBS-TV in New York City as a reporter and weekend anchor. He joined KGO-TV in San Francisco in 1990 as a weekday anchor before leaving the station in 1995. He was last working as an anchor at KXLY-TV in Spokane.

Richard has been honored with seven Emmys, Radio Television News Directors Association and Associated Press awards, and the George Foster Peabody medal for his coverage of the Rwanda Civil War and Refugee Crisis in 1994.

Richard Brown hails from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
