There are currently two published collection of Brevity comics called "Brevity" and "Brevity 2".The comic strip's name presumably comes from the William Shakespeare quote "Brevity is the soul of wit."
The comic itself is somewhat different from many other comics in papers today, though it bears many similarities to Gary Larson's strip
The Far Side . It is significantly more contemporary than most other syndicated comics such asThe Family Circus and the humor is more sparse, in most cases, and often makes obscure cultural references.Books
