WAZR is a Contemporary Hit Radio formatted broadcast radio station licensed to New Market, Virginia, though studios are located in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

WAZR serves the Harrisonburg/Staunton area. WAZR is owned and operated by Clear Channel Communications.

History

WAZR previously had been owned by Ruarch Associates, LLC of Woodstock, Virginia and carried an Adult Standards format. In June of 2002, Ruarch sold WAZR to Clear Channel for an unknown sum. The station's tower was moved south into Rockingham County and puts a poor signal into Woodstock.
