Schiltach is a town in the district of Rottweil, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated in the eastern Black Forest, on the river Kinzig, 20 km south of Freudenstadt.

Geography

Schiltach is 295 to 842 metres above sea level in the Middle Black Forest at the mouth of the river Schiltach Kinzig, at the narrowest point of the Kinzigtals, between Offenburg Freudenstadt Schramberg.

Neighbours are clockwise from the north-east from beginning: Schenkenzell Wolfach Lauterbach Schramberg Aichhalden. The city is located in Wolfach Ortenaukreis, Schramberg the city and other municipalities in the Rottweil.
