San Canzian d'Isonzo (Bisiac : "San Gansian") is a "comune" (municipality) in the province of Gorizia, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy.

The small town is situated about 30 kilometers from Gorizia, the capital of the province, and not too far west of the important port of Trieste. Its name refers to the martyrs Cantius, Cantianius, and Cantianilla, who are said to have been beheaded here in 304 AD.

San Canzian d`Isonzo has a population of 5,808 and an area of 33.6 square kilometers; thus the population density is 172.86 inhabitants per square kilometer. It is situated 8 metres above the sea level.

The municipality of San Canzian d`Isonzo had a population of 5,860 according to the results of the 1991 national census. After the 2001 national census, the population was 5,808 inhabitants, thus showing a decline of 0.89% during the decade.

The inhabitants are distributed in 2,348 families with an average of 2.47 people per family.

It is also the birthplace of Italian footballer and current England manager Fabio Capello
