Alastair Bressington

Alastair Bressington

Alastair Bressington (born November 28, 1979) is an English cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace seam bowler.

Born in Bristol, he played for Gloucestershire between 2000 and 2004. He participated extensively in Minor Counties trophy and Second XI Championship matches for the team from 1998 to 2004, and played in the Second XI trophy, making several appearances in the group stages of the competition between 1999 and 2004. He fielded as 12th man for England for 74 overs and although he dropped a catch he also took a spectacular catch off the bowling of Steven Harmison.

After his release from contract with Gloucestershire in 2004, Bressington decided to concentrate more on Rugby Union. His brother Nathan Bressington has played for Stourbridge and Moseley, and Alastair is also currently Stourbridge's wing and in-form goal-kicker.He now works at the Kings School Gloucester
