Cooling-off period may refer to:

  • Period of time after a purchase during which the purchaser has the right to return goods for a refund, or to cancel a contract without penalty (see buyer's remorse)
  • Waiting period, the time which a company making an IPO must be silent about it, so as not to inflate the value of the stock artificially
