input = Nihongo|"Tatarigoroshi-hen"|祟殺し編|Curse Killing Chapter is the title of the third game of the "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" series and additionally is the third game of the "question" arc, spanning a total of four games. It was first released on August 15 2003 at Comiket 64. Later, a manga was adapted from this part of the story. Finally, in the anime series, "Tatarigoroshi-hen" spans episodes nine through thirteen of the first season.

Plot

By the time "Tatarigoroshi-hen" is played, the player should have several theories in his or her mind. Whether the player believes in a human culprit at work, something supernatural at hand, or just plain coincidence, it is all up to the player's view. However, this chapter will either solidify or crush that player's theory. "Tatarigoroshi-hen" is longer than the previous two chapters. This time, the spotlight shines on Satoko Hojo as being the victim.
