Dr. Kathleen M. Waldron is an American author, financial executive and educator. Since August 2004, she has been the president of
Baruch College of theCity University of New York , succeedingEdward Regan , the formerNew York StateComptroller .Dr. Waldron received her Master's degree and PhD (1977) fromIndiana University . She taught atBowdoin College from 1977 to 1981, and then as aFulbright Scholar at theUniversidad Católica Andrés Bello inVenezuela . She was the dean of the School of Business, Public Administration and Information Sciences ofLong Island University 'sBrooklyn Campus from 1998-2004. Prior to being an educator, Dr. Waldron held several executive positions atCitibank . From 1991 to 1996, she served as President of Citibank International in Miami. Before working at Citibank, Dr. Waldron worked atChemical Bank onLatin American public and private sector lending.Under Dr. Waldron, Baruch College has received record donations from its alumni [http://www.highbeam.com/library/docFree.asp?DOCID=1G1:122726936 1] , including $54 million in her first year as President.
