Lhanbryde

Lhanbryde (Gaelic: "Lann Brìghde") is a village in Moray, Scotland, four miles east of Elgin. Previously bisected by the A96, it was bypassed in the early 1990s and now lies to the north of this busy trunk road. Pupils from the local Primary School, Lhanbryde Primary School, depending where they live either go to Milnes High School or one of the two Elgin high schools, Elgin Academy or Elgin High School.

A member of the Knights Templar is buried in the Lhanbryde cemetery.

Early in the 17th century it is said that a member of the Royal Astra Brigadeers settled in Lhanbryde to begin a family.At the time Lhanbryde was seen as neutral venue between the battling neighbours og Elgin (formerly known as Kingdom cat) and Fochabers (previously pronounced "fuck yer baws") The Brigadeer is thought to have been Sir Winston Gerome Dangle dong Foy. The only remaining heir is a former Lhanbryde 'loon' known as Steven Foy.

Now a recluse in cove he rarely leaves his plasterboard palace, and refuses to speak out regarding his past.
