Carrickfergus College is a secondary school located in
Carrickfergus ,County Antrim ,Northern Ireland . The college was opened in1959 and has over 750 students and 52 teachers. It is within theNorth Eastern Education and Library Board area.Information
Carrickfergus College won UTV’s Secondary School Choir of the Year in 1998, 2003 and the last one in 2005.

Carrickfergus Learning Community (CLC)
Carrickfergus College is currently involved in a new curricular scheme called the Carrickfergus Learning Community (CLC), along with Carrickfergus Grammar School, Downshire, and Ulidia Integrated College. It means that if another school in Carrickfergus is doing the subject your school isn't you will be able to do it without moving schools.At Carrickfergus College students may study:

Specialist School
In May 2007 the school became a specialist school for Business and Enterprise. At present they are one of only 25 secondary / grammar schools in Northern Ireland to have achieved this prestigious designation. As a specialist school they receive additional funding which will be in excess of £400,000 over the next four years. This will be used to enhance resources in all subject areas, with the ultimate aim of continually raising standards of pupil achievement. House System
It has set up a house system similar to Carrickfergus Grammar with houses Castle, Fergus and Knockagh. The house system holds many competitions within the school and the house with most points at the end of the year will win a trip out of school. It is sorted by form classes
The 2007/8 would be won by Fergus, Castle in second and Knockagh in third.
