Udumbannoor is the biggest panchayth in Idukki district and Thodupuzha thaluk, and its really greenish. Idukki Tropical rain forestis in this panchayathu. Important places at udumbannoor are Kizhakkanpadam, Pariyaram, Mankuzhy, Thattakkuzha, Amayapra, Cheenikkuzhy, Malayinchi, Idamaruku, kottakkavala, peringassery, manchikkal. Main schools are mankuzhy, Thattakkuzha and peringassery. Schools at pariyaram, amayappra, parekkavala, ezhanikkoottam are doing its own contributions. Nearest places are Karimannoor, Kulamavu, Vazhathoppu. Thommankuthu etc.
