Robin Robertson is a Scottish
poet .Robertson's poetry collection, "A Painted Field" won the 1997
Forward Prize for Best First Collection and the Scottish First Book of the Year Award. His second collection, "Slow Air", appeared in 2002. His third collection, "Swithering", was published in 2006 and won the 2006 Forward Prize for Best Collection and was shortlisted for theT. S. Eliot Prize .Robertson's poetry appears regularly in the "
London Review of Books ", "Poetry magazine ", and "The New Yorker ", and is represented in many anthologies. In 2004, he edited "Mortification: Writers' Stories of Their Public Shame", which collects seventy commissioned pieces by international authors. That same year, Robertson received theE. M. Forster Award fromThe American Academy of Arts and Letters .Robertson is a trustee of the Griffin Trust for Excellence in Poetry.
