The most famous resident is James Blake Miller, then a 19-year old Marine Lance Corporal, who was first featured on the
November 10 2004 front page of theLos Angeles Times following a raid in the volatile city ofFallujah ,Iraq . Afterwards at least 100 newspaper front pages across theUnited States featured the photo and labeled him "Marlboro Man" (as he was smoking a Marlboro cigarette). He was later diagnosed withPTSD and is on a military disability annuity.The "
New York Post " summed it up in a front-page headline: "Marlboro Men Kick Butt in Fallujah". He was not identified by name at the time.He has a special connection to the hamlet: "It's named after my great-great-great grandparents: Joe and Nancy Miller ... [t] hey were the first people in those parts."
He was married in June 2005 to Jessica Holbrook in a civil ceremony, and in a lavish affair at a country club in
