Saint Louis University that was the basis for the film "One Night at McCool's ", written byStan Seidel . [http://www.kdhx.org/reviews/onenight.html] It opened on June 18,1976 , and is named after its owner, Robert "Humphrey" Mangelsdorf.Humphrey's is known by SLU students for its Wednesday night "Penny Pitchers" and complimentary birthday "plunger shots."
