OneCNC

OneCNC

OneCNC was first created in Australia in 1983 by [1] QARM Pty Ltd, which is one of the oldest developers of PC-based computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software. They are one of the first to introduce CAD/CAM software designed for both machinists and engineers to run on mainstream desktop PC's. OneCNC is Qarm's developed product, development started as a 2D CAM system with CAD tools that let machinists design mechanical parts on a personal computer screen to guide computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools to manufacture those parts. Since the beginning, OneCNC has grown into one of the most widely used global CAD/CAM package. OneCNC product development is now located in Brisbane Australia with global branch offices.

OneCNC’s comprehensive set of predefined toolpaths which include planar, feature recognised drilling, pocketing, face, high speed mill, engraving, surface machining, advanced multiaxis, pencil and Z level machining ability enable machinists to cut parts efficiently and accurately directly from the computer generated information. OneCNC users can create and cut parts using one of many supplied machine and control definitions, or they can use OneCNC's advanced graphic user post interface to create their own customized machine posts. OneCNC policy of supplying schools and educational institutions software has helped may students to become experienced in this type of manufacture.

OneCNC available in many languages offers a level of advanced wizard use technology to address and simplify the otherwise complicated programming of CNC machine tools.

OneCNC's name is derived from in the beginning being "one" developer with CNC (computer numerical control) as the main process of the main product as it implies CNC CAD-CAM (computer-aided-drawing)(computer-aided manufacturing), which involves today's latest CNC machine tool control technologies.
