Downs Preparatory School

The Downs School is a preparatory school in Wraxall, North Somerset, which feeds public schools throughout the South and the Midlands of England.

Founded in 1894 in a house overlooking Clifton Down, [ [http://www.thedownsschool.co.uk/home.html Official website] ] it was relocated in 1927 across the Clifton Suspension Bridge to the Elizabethan Charlton House on the Tyntesfield Estate. In the autumn of 2002, the school and parklands was bought from the estate of Baron Wraxall for the Downs School Trust.
