Almondo Curry

Almondo Curry (born August 18, 1980 in Hampton, Virginia) is a cornerback in the Canadian Football League. He is currently a Free Agent

Curry was originally signed as a free agent by the Montreal Alouettes in 2004. He was traded to Saskatchewan in 2006 for the Riders' former franchise quarterback, Nealon Greene. Along with his weak-side counterpart Omarr Morgan, Saskatchewan could easily have the top two cornerbacks in the CFL. Curry was named to the CFL All-Star team in 2004 while Morgan achieved that honour in 2002, 2003, and 2005. Almondo attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' (National Football League) training camp in 2005. In college, he played for the University of Virginia and was known by the nickname "Muffin". He is a cousin of Oakland Raiders wide receiver Ronald Curry, and they were teammates in high school.
