Aleksandr Gurnov (b.
Moscow ,July 08 ,1957 ) is a Russian TV persona.In
1973 , Aleksandr Gurnov became a correspondent for the Russian national newspapersPionerskaya Pravda and Komsomolskaya Pravdahas. He graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1980, and in the same year he became the editor, author and presenter of a weekly political programme on State TV and Radio Broadcasting of theUSSR . In 1984 he didmilitary service inEthiopia . He was awarded with the Defender of Russia state award in1991 and two years later, in1993 , he was the Bureau chief of Russian Television in London. He has also worked on the Russian Sports channel. In 2006, he participated in an online interview with Russian PresidentVladimir Putin , as a representative of websiteYandex . Today, he presents the "Spotlight" programme on the international Russian television network,Russia Today .Aleksandr Gurnov likes watching television, drawing, playing tennis and doing mountain skiing. He speaks English, Russian, French and the Amharic language. He is married and has a seven-year-old son.
