Sakura Tsukuba

Sakura Tsukuba

is a Japanese mangaka. Her first completed series was the manga "Land of the Blindfolded". Her current work is "Penguin Revolution". Both are licensed in English by CMX.

She has also released numerous one-shots, such as "Yoroshiku Master", a tale about a girl who manages to "gain ownership" of a reindeer in the shape of a 17 year old boy.

Personal life

Sakura Tsukuba loved to draw, and when she drew Kanade Outsuka, she decided to make her the central character of Land of the Blindfolded. A bonus story in Land of the Blindfolded, "the Festival", was based on a true event in her life.

Tsukuba's best friend is her big and lovable dog, Jin, who she often takes to the shrine to pray. She can't sit in the traditional Japanese girl style though. Once, when she was a kid, her house was raided by a peeping tom, but they scared him off. Her best bonus story yet was "The Devil In The Flowered Office".

Some of her other bonus stories were, "In the Rain," and "After the festival." After volume 3, she stopped doing bonus stories that were not connected to "Land of the Blindfolded". "Penguin Revolution" has no bonus stories.
