"UFC 50: The War of '04" was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on October 22, 2004, at the Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event was broadcasted live on pay-per-view in the United States, and later released on DVD.

History

*Light Heavyweight Bout: flagicon|USA Tito Ortiz vs. flagicon|Canada Patrick Côté:Ortiz wins by unanimous decision. The judges scored the bout 30-27, 30-26, 30-26. Initially, Tito Ortiz had been scheduled to fight Guy Mezger. However, Mezger suffered from stroke-like symptoms several weeks before the fight. Patrick Côté was moved from the undercard to the main event.
