Rocca Priora is a small town and commune in the province of Rome, Lazio, Italy. It is one of the Castelli Romani on the Alban Hills about 25 km south east of Rome, is situated in the Regional Park known as the "Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani".

History

Rocca Priora occupied the area of the old Latins town of "Corbium"; here several battles, narrated by famous historians, were fought by italic peoples.

After the desctruction of Tusculum in 1191, the population increased. In XIV century there was the domination of the Marquess Savelli, after the Pope Sixtus V endorsed Rocca Priora as feudal possession of Savelli.
