Somerville Cable Access Television and working with third graders at a local school. She was also studying in the Child Development Program at her school as well as keeping a job atStar Market .Aftermath
Deanna's murder has led to her family opening up a scholarship, a billboard and a square in her honor. The Deanna Cremin Reward Scholarship is an annual award given to one recipient currently attending the Child Development Program at Somerville High School. The scholarship is worth $500.
Deanna's family erects a billboard each year since Deanna's death. The billboard is to help gather information and offer a reward for information about Deanna's killer. At the bottom of the billboard, a quote reads: "You know what you did to me. How much longer must I wait! Please help make my time in heaven restful."
In the summer of 1995, the The Deanna Cremin Square was dedicated to her. The idea was proposed by Deanna's friend, Danielle Shute. The square is located on the corner of Jaques Street and Temple Street, the neighborhood Deanna grew up in. It is also located near St. Polycarp's Church, where her funeral was held.
Although Deanna's murder remains unsolved, Katherine Cremin, Deanna's mother, believes Deanna's old boyfriend killed Deanna out of paranoia and fear that she wanted to break up with him. On March 6, 2006, Katherine posted an entry on Unsolved Mysteries.com, explaining her observerations of Deanna's murder.
Willie Alexander , former member ofThe Velvet Underground , wrote a song on his 2005 album, "Dog Bar Yacht Club", titled "Who Killed Deanna".External links
